Private Sessions with Kim

Kim provides an integrative education that begins with self love — the foundation from which true wisdom, joy, passion, and connection arise.

An integrative approach values the uniqueness of every child, allows freedom for self-discovery, utilizes strengths, encourages interests and passions, and creates a safe space that allows every child to be their authentic self.

When a child is engaged with what they love, follows their natural interests and passions, they naturally want to achieve their goals and dreams. When grounded in this understanding, self-responsibility, self-discipline, self-respect, and self-love naturally develop.


How to Begin

DISCOVERY

We begin with a 60-minute parent consultation to discuss your child’s needs and determine how to proceed in our work together.

Upon receipt of all forms, we will schedule two intake sessions.

INTAKE

Our first 55-minute session includes parent(s)/caregivers and the child or adolescent (when appropriate) to review completed forms and documents, address questions and concerns, and gather input.

Our second 55-minute session includes an outline of an Integrative whole-child plan. This highly-individualized, strength-based, interest-driven, and balanced plan is designed to provide an overall understanding of how to apply this knowledge to your child’s education and life.

SESSIONS

After discussing the needs of everyone concerned, we move forward with a plan of action that may include future sessions with your child or adolescent, referrals to allied professionals, as well as sessions for parents.

  • A Safe and Supportive Environment

    We begin our time together building connection, engaging in a collaborative approach, and providing an environment in which your child feels safe to be themselves — the precursor to learning, motivation, and inspiration.

  • Highly Individualized Plans

    Based on the knoweldge gleaned from our intake sesssions, your child and I begin on a self-empowering journey that includes an awareness of their strengths and capabilities, interests and passions, learning style, and what makes them unique. From here, we discuss how to compassionately address areas of challenge or concern.

  • Language & Communication

    For children who struggle with reading and language, I draw upon decades of experience to help your child understand the different learning abilities often hidden underneath our linear system of language while helping them develop a sense of safety and confidence within their own capacities to address school-related learning challenges.

  • Developing Learning Capabilities

    Unique Capabilities

    Many neurodiverse children and adolescents have capabilities that are not yet included in traditional education. They have different expressions of intelligence, innovative approaches to learning, and developmental timeframes that rarely correlate to age/grade based norms. I provide a safe space that embraces your child’s unique talents and traits; offering them a deep level of trust to guide their own learning explorations. The result is usually an increase in motivation, confidence, and joy.

  • Tools for Energetic Sensitivity

    Together your child and I explore what energy is and how it may play a role in learning, behavior, and emotions that are often misunderstood. They learn new tools and strategies to self soothe and self regulate, improve connection with family and friends, or address such issues as night fears or food sensitivities. They also discover intuitive and other abilities energetic sensitivities have to offer, helping them move from challenge to insight and self-empowerment.

  • Establishing a Positive Sense of Self

    Our work together focuses on helping your child establish a positive sense of self by developing faith in their unique abilities and life choices, challenging conditioned beliefs and patterns that may have limited their self worth, and learning new strategies to recover untapped inner resources and wisdom. The goal is to help them move forward with increased resilience and long-lasting self-confidence.

While every session is practical and intuitive, designed to meet the unique needs of your child, an educational approach that includes heart-mind integration is the cornerstone on which we build.
