Uniquely You!

An Intuitive Writing Approach for Children and Adolescents

Today you are you, that is Truer than True
There is no one alive who is Youer than You!

Utilizing the foundations of The Power of Our Stories writing program, we take a deep dive into the power of intuition as a tool to write with ease while discovering your child’s authentic voice.

This form of writing is perfect for children or adolescents who struggle with conventional academic writing or who have been diagnosed with language-based learning challenges.

We begin with a five-minute meditation or quiet contemplation, move to a stream-of-consciousness writing, and then proceed to a writing prompt that discovers your child’s unique stories, style, and voice. We finish by sharing our stories and receiving feedback from one another.

Deep listening and empathy are modeled. Together we learn to hold space for one another while sharing what we found inspiring, beautiful, or commenting on something we really needed to hear from the other person’s story.

Whether your child dislikes writing or is an experienced storyteller, this approach offers valuable insights, practical writing skills, a natural motivation to move their writing towards a finished form, the power to listen within and to others, and the recognition that it is through telling our authentic and diverse stories that we actually feel safe to express our true self and more connected to others.

This is an opportunity for your child to recognize the power of their voice and embark on a transformative journey of narrative storytelling.

Writing and sharing our stories in a safe space reminds us that we all belong and helps break through feelings of separateness.

How to Start

CONNECT

Parents have the option to create individual learning experiences for their child, or meet in age-appropriate groups of 2 to 8 participants.

Each class is customized based on the specific needs of the group.

CUSTOMIZED

Every class is designed to foster a sense of community, promote self-awareness, and develop new capabilities.
